sudo mount [device] [mount point] [type] [opsi]

Bagaimana Memount Partisi Hardisk Windows FAT32?

sudo mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/win-c -t VFAT -o umask=000,rw

Bagaimana Memount Partisi Hardisk Windows NTFS?

sudo mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/win-c -t ntfs defaults

Atau menggunakan modul ntfs-3g

sudo mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows

Bagaimana Memount CDROM/DVDROM?

sudo mount /dev/hdc /media/cdrom -t udf,iso9660

Bagaimana Memount File ISO?

sudo mount /home/kolu/pclinux-2007.iso /media/cdrom0 -o loop -t is09660

Bagaimana Melepaskan Mount?
Melepaskan mount sebuah device di sebut unmount. Prosesnya sederhana:

sudo umount [mount point]

Contoh: sudo umount /media/cdrom

A strategy to simplify & reduce costs

VMware VirtualizationVirtualization is the abstraction of computing resources across physical hardware, and is gaining rapid adoption in the marketplace, as organizations seek to expand capabilities while controlling complexity & costs. There are many virtualization products available, which complicates the process of developing a virtualization plan, but North American Systems International has the technical and industry know-how that can help you design a solution that best enables you to maximize control and manage costs.

“Virtualization decouples the application from the underlying hardware and allows customers to create service-oriented infrastructure whereby they can begin to manage services and employ policy-based automation to manage and deliver the underlying infrastructure.”
- John Humphreys, Analyst, IDC Research

Consolidate

Virtualization allows a single physical server to be divided into multiple “vitual servers” which can handle multiple workloads & applications simultaneously. Reducing the amount of physical servers simplifies your architecture by providing an architecture that can support various applications & operating systems. This strategy saves costs by reducing redundant hardware components while minimizing maintenance, power & cooling requirements.

Simplify

Minimizing the number of physical systems reduces complexity, enabling administrative staff to centrally manage & provision computing power. With a top-down view of resource utilization, staff can proactively approach potential issues before they become problems, and enact policies and procedures to monitor, anticipate and prevent administrative nightmares.

Maximize Availability

By being able to manage multiple workloads on a single physical system, organizations can afford to invest in high quality hardware that includes enterprise RAS (reliability, availability, serviceability) features. In addition, virtualization can figure prominently into your business continuity & resiliency planning by greatly simplifying the tasks of performing remote replication for disaster recovery scenarios, or having a mirrored failover system available for high availability requirements.

Gain Flexibility & Agility

Rapidly plan, test and deploy new applications with virtualization technology. A physical system split into multiple virtual machines allows new solutions to be developed and staged prior to implementation. In addition, by breaking down physical walls and allowing infrastructure to be managed logically, you can dynamically allocate computing resources, and align IT with business requirements.

IBM BladeCenter S

server

The BladeCenter S doesn’t sacrifice flexibility in this chassis. It supports Windows, AIX and Linux applications and provides choice with Intel® or AMD Opteron™ processor-based blade servers. Reliability isn’t sacrificed either, with reliability features such as Predictive Failure Analysis®, as well as redundant and hot-swappable power supplies and switch modules.

Integrate servers, storage, networking & I/O in a single chassis that can run on a single, standard 100V power outlet. Other features include:

  • the ability to reduce cables by up to 80%
  • chassis can be rack-optimized, 7U form factor
  • 6 blade server bays
  • up to 3.6TB SAS disk or 9TB SATA, or a mix of both
  • hot-swappable, redundant switch modules support SAS, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI
  • up to 4 x hot-swappable, redundant and load balancing power supplies
  • high-availability midplane with fault-tolerant connections to all modular components for easy upgrades without disruption

Reducing Power Consumption Costs with the BladeCenter S

The BladeCenter S helps your IT infrastructure “ go green” by reducing power consumption, and therefore save money on energy costs. IBM’s unique Cool Blue™ technology enables you to save 25% – 36% in overall energy costs compared to comparable traditional rack & tower systems.

The IBM BladeCenter S also includes many other tools that help in planning, managing and controlling power & cooling costs, such as Calibrated Vectored Cooling™ which also helps protect components against failure to minimize downtime.
